JOB DESCRIPTION.

Second Baptist School is currently seeking a part-time ARTS MARKETING & CONTENT CREATOR for the 2025-2026 school year.

  • Position Title: Arts Marketing & Content Creator
  • Reports To: Director of Arts
  • Work Calendar: Eleven Month
  • Schedule: Part-Time (10-12 hours per week), plus after-school event hours

JOB SUMMARY.

This role is ideal for someone with a deep appreciation for the arts, excellent organizational skills, and a knack for engaging with audiences through social media and other content platforms. The ideal candidate will help promote, document, and celebrate our arts events and educational activities, and contribute to the overall success of our program.

RESPONSIBILITIES and DUTIES.

Essential functions of the job include, but are not limited to:

  • Event Coordination & Support:
    • Attend all arts events (concerts, performances, tech weeks) and assist the Arts Event Planner with planning and execution.
    • Provide on-site support for events, ensuring smooth operations and effective promotion.
  • Arts Program Production:
    • Assist in producing musical programs, including coordinating ads, tributes, bios, and other relevant content.
    • Work with fellows and other team members to publicize and market events.
  • Social Media & Digital Content:
    • Cover all arts events and classroom activities for social media platforms, ensuring consistent and engaging content.
    • Write and coordinate the monthly Arts Newsletter, featuring updates, events, and highlights.
    • Plan and schedule social media posts, coordinating with the communications team on key messaging.
  • Arts Documentation & Web Management:
    • Keep arts web pages up to date with relevant event information, news, and accolades.
    • Document arts accolades, achievements, and records for future marketing materials.
    • Assist in filing and managing mail-outs for recognition and celebration letters.
  • Marketing & Promotional Support:
    • Brainstorm and develop creative marketing materials and promotional strategies for upcoming arts events.
    • Coordinate with the Event Planner to manage print materials for events, ensuring all collateral is in line with branding and messaging.
    • Manage the coordination of ticketing platform graphics with the communications department.
  • Special Projects:
    • Support marketing efforts for the Director’s Circle and Underwriting for the US Musical.
    • Promote and engage Arts Patrons for all arts events.

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES REQUIRED.

To perform this job successfully, candidates must have a(n):

  • Strong passion for the arts, with a focus on music, performance, and event marketing.
  • Proven experience in social media management and content creation.
  • Excellent writing, editing, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and meet deadlines.
  • Experience with event coordination and multitasking in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of digital marketing tools, social media platforms, and content management systems.
  • Flexible schedule, with the ability to work evenings and weekends as needed for events.
  • Experience in arts marketing or related fields.
  • Familiarity with event ticketing platforms and web content management systems.
  • Graphic design skills are considered a plus.
